Can We Impeach Now? | RedState

First Barack Obama decided to overreach and extend amnesty by executive order. One judge in Texas has told him no and Republicans are hanging their hat on that judge’s order.

Then the FCC decided to declare internet a public utility. They overreached, rushed it through, and committed to as little transparency as possible to make it happen. Congress did nothing on this front and the FCC decided to replace the Congress on the matter.

Now there are reports that Barack Obama, by executive order and agency regulation, will curtail the manufacture of certain ammunition.

Again and again and again the President of the United States has met the boundaries of his powers and stepped across them. The Senate is now on the verge of confirming his Attorney General appointee who sees no limits to the power of Octavius Obama.

Given Barack Obama’s continuous overreaching of power, I must now ask if it is time to consider impeachment proceedings. Is it even possible?

Of course some of you think I mean against Barack Obama. No, can we impeach, remove from office, or otherwise put metaphorical cement shoes on Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)HERITAGE ACTIONSCORECARDRep. John BoehnerN/AHouse Republican Average61%SEE FULL SCORECARDN/A and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)67%?

The only reason Barack Obama can and is doing what he is doing is because Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)N/A and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)67% have enabled, emboldened, and incentivized him.

Thank you Progressives for your economic wisdom!

while the Fed has done everything possible to stimulate the economy, Washington has raised taxes (reducing free cash flow), increased regulation (making it more difficult for businesses), and passed what might be the most expensive piece of legislation in the history of America. I’m referring to the Affordable Care Act. This law has caused numerous businesses to eliminate coverage for thousands upon thousands of employees and their spouses, all in an attempt to avoid the added expense caused by this law. Although the idea of providing Americans with health insurance may be admirable, this particular law has created such a cloud of uncertainty that it has had a depressing effect on the economy. Even though this is difficult to quantify, there are countless stories about how corporate America is reducing employee benefits (and employees) as a result of this law. In short, business owners are reluctant to hire until they fully understand the cost and added regulation from the Affordable Care Act. Moreover, each political party is doing its best to spin the facts to suit its own agenda. Finally, individuals are holding their breath as they anticipate an inevitable premium increase. Personally, our monthly premium is going to double in December! Affordable? Perhaps for those who qualify for a subsidy. But for the rest, I suspect it is anything but affordable. I also expect Obamacare will cause a massive increase in entitlement spending and further damage an already fragile economy.

Islamic State Torches Churches, Takes 200 Christian Hostages, Western Forces Present Do Nothing

Posted on February 25, 2015 by Raymond Ibrahim

In the early hours of Monday, February 23, Islamic State fighters attacked several Christian villages along the Khabur River in north eastern Syria. As many as 200 Christians—including women and children—were taken hostage.  Their families fear that they will either be sold as slaves and/or raped, or simply massacred, as many other Christian hostages of the Islamic State have been—most recently the 21 Coptic martyrs in Libya.

Several churches were also torched or damaged during the jihadi raid, including the church in Tel Hurmiz, one of the oldest churches in Syria, the Mar Bisho church in Tel Shamiran, the church in Qabr Shamiy and the church in Tel Baloua.

And, perhaps worst of all, this raid “brought to light deplorable conduct on the part of other persons,” namely the West.  According to Archbishop Hindo:

I wish to say quite clearly that we have the feeling of being abandoned into the hands of ISIS.  Yesterday American bombers flew over the area several times, but without taking action. We have a hundred Assyrian families who have taken refuge in Hassakè, but they have received no assistance either from the Red Crescent or from Syrian government aid workers, perhaps because they are Christians. The UN high commission for Refugees is nowhere to be seen.

Senior State Dept. Official Arrested, Accused of Soliciting Sex from a Minor | PJ Tatler

A senior State Department official was arrested yesterday for allegedly soliciting sex from a minor, Fox News is reporting.

Fairfax County Police officials say Daniel Rosen was arrested by a county detective about noon at his Washington, D.C. home after he allegedly sought to arrange sex with a minor. The detective, a female officer working in the county’s Child Exploitation Unit, had been posing as the minor in online exchanges with Rosen, police said.

Rosen is the director of counterterrorism programs at the State Department.

How a Free Clinic Is Saving Health Care in America

The brainchild of John and Alieta Eck, the Zarephath Health Center opened in Somerset in 2003 as a way to serve low-income patients needing medical care. But their clinic differed from others already in existence: contrary to programs like Medicaid that serve low-income Americans, it wouldn’t cost taxpayers a dime.

“The people who are sick and have no funds would go to a clinic, which is what it used to be way before we had big government programs. We’ll take care of them. It’s in our DNA. That’s why we went to medical school, to care for people and not to be so worried about whether they can pay us or not,” said Dr. Alieta Eck.

The building the clinic calls home was given to them by the Zarephath Christian Church, and donations from the community help keep the lights on. Because there is little overhead and the doctors volunteer for free, John and Alieta Eck are able to keep their patient costs low at just $13 per patient.

Barack Obama won’t name the enemy. At least not in so many words. Because the enemy is us. Giuliani was too polite when he said Obama does not love America. I’ll take it a step further: Obama hates America.

Most recently, two different departments in the administration released images and statements that signify an overt attempt to manipulate how Americans perceive their neighbors and their communities.

The Department of Homeland Security created a map of the United States called “Sovereign Citizen Extremist Violence 2010 – 2014.” In classic “Look! Squirrel!” fashion, the map identifies two dozen “right-wing” terror hot spots.

High Treason in Washington D.C.

The U.S. Congress has just signed a bill into law, H.R. 4681 – The Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015, that for the first time provides Congressional consent to U.S. intelligence agencies as they collect and store the private phone and internet communications of everyday U.S. citizens without a court order under a little known Executive Order 12333.

On the surface, H.R. 4681 looks like just another annual funding bill for the U.S. intelligence community. However, in Section 309, the Executive Branch is given the awesome power of collecting and storing of any and all “nonpublic” (which is the Federal’ government’s way of saying: “private”) American telephone or electronic communications, with no express Congressional oversight. (This particular surveillance is covered under Executive Order 12333 — not Section 215 of the Patriot Act, meaning it has practically no oversight.)

Hire ISIS – they’ve got ‘Mad Skills’

Maybe the teeny bopper spokes-babes at the State Department have it right – killing ISIS won’t work, so let’s just find them all some good jobs. After all, these guys have some “mad skills!”

Let’s take a look at some industries that would love to have workers with the skill-sets of ISIS.

Any political PR firm would love a team with such a laser-focused approach that no one, and I mean no one, doesn’t get their message. Let’s face it; most political campaigns would kill for a team that could get a message out as clearly and definitively as ISIS. And it’s not a stretch to think that ISIS would have put Romney in the White House. ISIS said they hadn’t heard back from the Hillary campaign, but that it was OK because they admitted she’d be a bit scary to work for.

And the heart-pounding edge of your seat videos would fit right in the Hollywood film industry. You just can’t look away! Who knows, maybe ISIS could have brought “I Frankenstein” to life at the box office to  at least break even, or even made “The Legend of Hercules” strong enough to fight its way out of financial trouble. In any case, Tarantino can’t hold a candle to the ISIS film team when it comes to delivering shocking suspense.

Why Obama Refuses to Call it ‘Islamic Terrorism’ –

The FBI’s most recent national terror threat assessment list completely omits Islamic terrorists, instead focusing on sovereign citizens and the militia movement.

The University of Maryland’s National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) also said that sovereign citizens were the “top concern of law enforcement.”

In 2012 that same department released a study which characterized Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” and “reverent of individual liberty” as “extreme right-wing” terrorists. The study, which was funded by the DHS to the tune of $12 million dollars, largely omits Islamic extremism and instead focuses on Americans who hold beliefs shared by the vast majority of conservatives and libertarians and puts them in the context of radical extremism.

Last year, it emerged that the Department of Homeland Security maintains a “hands off” list of individuals with terrorist ties, allowing them unfettered entrance to the United States. In a related story, Muslim Brotherhood members with ties to terrorism traveling through Minneapolis Airport, New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport and Dulles Airport in April 2012 were handed “port courtesies,” with the State Department telling the DHS to ensure the men “not be pulled into secondary upon arrival at a point of entry.”

Obama Appoints Terrorist Supporter to Head Up New Counterterrorism Messaging Center –

Posted on February 19, 2015 by Pamela Geller

In yet another stunning development in Obama’s plan to turn the war on terror over to the terrorists, he’s ramping up a counter-defense headed up by a terror-tied operative, Rashad Hussain. Over 80 people will staff the newly-empowered center.

It seems Obama is turning the war on terror over to the terrorists.

Rashad Hussain is a hafiz, one who has committed the Quran memory. He currently serves as Obama’s special envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. I wrote about Hussain’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood back in 2010 when Obama first appointed him as special envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The Politically Correct and Useless State Department

Harf: Hey! Don’t forget Christian extremists

State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf  appears to have entirely too much time on her hands. They should give her some busy work to fill up her day, like conducting tours of the State Department for high school kids or something.

How long did it take Harf to find a terrorist group with a Christian flavor to it? She settled on Joseph Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army, a guerrilla group that operated in Uganda more than a decade ago and is currnetly almost defunct.

Curiously, Harf seemed unaware that Kony was no longer a threat to anyone – except perhaps his dog who he probably kicks regularly – and that the Lord’s Resistance Army was far more nationalist than religious in its orientation.

Washington Times:

State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf drew attention toJoseph Kony’s “Christian militant” group Wednesday when discussing the threat posed by extremist groups around the globe.

During a interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday, Ms. Hart talked about the need for U.S. to enlist allies in its ongoing counterterrorism efforts. She then referenced the African warlord Joseph Kony.

“We have over 60 countries from around the world who are facing a number of different kinds of extremist threats. … If you at the Lord Resistance Army and Kony — Joseph Kony — I don’t remember people talking about that as much anymore, but that’s a Christian militant group. So there are a lot of different extremist threats we face and a lot of tools to go after each one of them,” said the spokeswoman, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Earth to airhead Harf: You don’t remember people talking about Kony anymore because he’s no longer a threat, his organization has all but disbanded, and word is that Kony is dying anyway.

Even when the Lord’s Resistance Army was at tis most active, they were no threat to the US, or Europe, or Asia, or just about anyone else except Uganda’s neighbors. Remnants of his organization are either in South Sudan or the Democratic Republic of the Congo where they fit right in with other armed groups who can’t stop killing each other.

If this is the best Harf can do in finding a Christian counterpart to Islamic State or AQ, she should be fired. Not every single terrorist group in the world is Muslim. But you would be hard pressed to find a non-Muslim terrorist outfit that threatens innocents beyond the borders of where they originate.

I suppose that’s just “too nuanced” for some State Department spokeswomen to grasp.

Here’s a State Department spokesman asserting America should offer the ISIS terrorists a jobs program:
