|Emergency in Nigeria
Refugees and staff members of a ministry in Nigeria assisted by Christian Aid Mission in Mubi, Adamawa state are in danger following a takeover of the city by terrorists from the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram. The group has killed scores of people since it attacked on Wednesday (Oct. 29); traumatized people are flooding the ministry’s relief camp, and some of its missionaries and field staff members are missing.
“Our missionaries went looking for our own people among hundreds of thousands in the bush,” said the ministry director. “Apart from our own camp being now full with our people, we are still missing many.”
Please pray for the safety of the ministry workers, including the director, as they take on the challenge of caring for traumatized people while gunfire continues throughout the city. “This is a great emergency for us, taking care of hundreds of children and their traumatized parents,” the director said. “The trauma is unimaginable. People are in great turmoil and pain and hunger. We ask you to arise and pray for Adamawa right now and help us out of these unprecedented woes.”
Have you heard of a Convention of States?

The Federal government is on a path to control every activity and every behavior of every American. Health care, Washington dictates. Marriage, Washington dictates. Illegal immigration, Washington dictates. Religious expression, Washington dictates. Even toilets, Washington dictates.
The goal is total control, ignoring the people. But, there is a way to restrain those who lust for power. And that way is Article 5 of the Constitution.

Black pastor endorses Republican for governor…guess what happens next
By Carol Brown
Corey Brooks is the pastor of New Beginnings church on the south side of Chicago. Pastor Brooks, who is black, endorsed Bruce Rauner for governor of Illinois, going so far as to appear in television ads with the candidate.
Normally I wouldn’t find it necessary to describe the skin color of anyone I write about. However, in this case, it’s central. Because ever since Pastor Brooks endorsed a Republican for office, he and his church have experienced threats and attacks.
More specifically, the pastor and his family have received hundreds of death threats. Most recently, his church was vandalized. Thousands of dollars raised for charity were stolen.
This is the Chicago way, the Democratic Party way, the Obama way.
“Argue and get in their faces.”
“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”
“We’re gonna to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends…”
If you would like to support Corey Brooks and his church, you can donate online here or mail checks to:

One cannot help but notice the lack of media attention paid to blacks in America who dare to leave the Democratic Party, who then face mortal threats because of it. Apparently that’s not newsworthy. It doesn’t fit the meme.
God bless every single black American who stands up for freedom in the face of intimidation and thuggish Democratic Party control.

The Sayings of Barack Obama
By Ed Lasky
Herewith readers will find a voter’s guide to the midterm elections, relying entirely on the some of the more disgraceful statements made by the President of the United States over the years. Voting gives Americans a way to register their disapproval and vote out his enablers. America may not be able to impeach Obama in the House but he has already impeached himself by having done what he likes to do so much: talk.
Democrats, not Republicans, have hurt blacks.
Blacks should stop voting Democrat — including for Obama — because Democrats have done nothing for blacks. Voting Democrat has meant blacks getting poorer and poorer.
Blacks commit crimes against fellow blacks, not just in the streets, but in city hall (like Detroit) and state capitols.
So-called Black “leaders” abuse, oppress, exploit and mis-govern fellow blacks.
Democrats’ talk about raising the minimum wage is ludicrous because blacks’ problem is not about minimum wage. Blacks don’t have jobs.
Liberals “force” blacks into a life of welfare. Blacks don’t want welfare. What blacks want are opportunities to go to work and to own businesses.
“They only come around when it’s time for elections.”
The hundreds of billions of federal dollars to “improve” black communities actually go to line the pockets of Democratic political groups, many of them headed by blacks.
Adding to the well-deserved reputation of the New York Times as an unreliable, left-biased propaganda sheet posing as an objective, truth-seeking instrument of the people in a nation that treasures appropriate and vigorous oversight of powerful politicians, is the following statement which appeared in the October 27, 2014 edition under the misnomer, Editorial, which should have been labeled Sycophant Musings:
“After a year fully in place, the Affordable Care Act has largely succeeded in delivering on President Obama’s main promises.”
Egad! Who in the hell writes such nonsense—an Obama speech writer on loan from the White House?
In fact, ObamaCare was passed exclusively by Democrats based on the following promises, or, more likely, deliberate misrepresentations:
( ) Millions of heretofore uninsured would be added to the ranks of the insured, resulting in reduced overall health care costs;
( ) Individuals would be able to keep their physicians and health care plans, if they chose;
( ) The bill would not add to the federal deficit.
As of today, ObamaCare has failed, or is in the process of failing, miserably on all counts.
In addition, neither the NYT or anyone else in the general public is able to really measure the success or failure of this Marxist scheme because Obama has unlawfully changed implementation schedules so as to mask the truth until after the 2014 elections, now just days away.
Just as Obama’s handling of the war in Iraq brought about the terror horror known as ISIS, and a litany of other domestic and foreign policy disasters, Barack Obama has proven spectacularly inept, all the while convinced within his own deluded, narcissistic brain that he is right and reality in wrong.
Only a fool, such as the writer of the October 27 “editorial” cited, would take Obama and his presidential “success” seriously.
Shame on the New York Times!
Even if Sheryl Attkisson’s new book, “Stonewalled” becomes a bestseller, only a few hundred thousand people will ever read it.
But every American citizen concerned about the present and future of America needs to read this book. Attkisson, a former investigative reporter for CBS who quit in disgust last year, details the incredible lengths to which the media went to protect the president and promote their ideological viewpoint at the expense of the news.
Kyle Smith has a long article in the New York Post on the book that should be read in its entirety. Here’s a sample:
The administration, with the full cooperation of the media, has successfully turned “Benghazi” into a word associated with nutters, like “Roswell” or “grassy knoll,” but Attkisson notes that “the truth is that most of the damaging information came from Obama administration insiders. From government documents. From sources who were outraged by their own government’s behavior and what they viewed as a coverup.”
Similarly, though the major media can’t mention the Fast and Furious scandal without a world-weary eyeroll, Attkisson points out that the story led to the resignation of a US attorney and the head of the ATF and led President Obama to invoke for the first time “executive privilege” to stanch the flow of damaging information.
Attkisson, who received an Emmy and the Edward R. Murrow award for her trailblazing work on the story, says she made top CBS brass “incensed” when she appeared on Laura Ingraham’s radio show and mentioned that Obama administration officials called her up to literally scream at her while she was working the story.
One angry CBS exec called to tell Attkisson that Ingraham is “extremely, extremely far right” and that Attkisson shouldn’t appear on her show anymore. Attkisson was puzzled, noting that CBS reporters aren’t barred from appearing on lefty MSNBC shows.
She was turning up leads tying the Fast and Furious scandal (which involved so many guns that ATF officials initially worried that a firearm used in the Tucson shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords might have been one of them) to an ever-expanding network of cases when she got an e-mail from Katie Couric asking if it was OK for Couric to interview Eric Holder, whom Couric knew socially, about the scandal. Sure, replied Attkisson.
No interview with Holder aired but “after that weekend e-mail exchange, nothing is the same at work,” Attkisson writes. “The Evening News” began killing her stories on Fast and Furious, with one producer telling Attkisson, “You’ve reported everything. There’s really nothing left to say.”
Readers are left to wonder whether Holder told Couric to stand down on the story.
UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION’s ARTICLE V CONVENTION OF STATES
Jeff Hogan, November 1, 2014, email@example.com, 970-417-4165
The ultimate legal restriction on all three branches of government has been effectively abolished since the days of Theodore Roosevelt. That tiny document, the United States Constitution, granted Government very limited powers, but adequate for the protection of our unalienable liberties as defined in the Declaration of Independence. The lack of integrity Government has taken with our Constitution coincides with the evaporation of our culture of liberty, morality and individual sovereignty.
“Washington, D.C., will never voluntarily relinquish meaningful power—no matter who is elected. The only rational conclusion is this: unless some political force outside of Washington, D.C., intervenes, the federal government will continue to bankrupt this nation, embezzle the legitimate authority of the states, and destroy the liberty of the people. Rather than securing the blessings of liberty for future generations, Washington, D.C., is on a path that will enslave our children and grandchildren to the debts of the past.” Senator Tom Coburn
Congress has become a dynastic ruling class, legislating as if their authority was unlimited, often forcing the states to relinquish their Constitutional rights. They’ve balanced the budget 5 times in 55 years. The lawless Executive Branch is issuing endless overreaching Executive Orders, violating religious freedom, releasing illegal alien criminals and rapists from prison, refusing to secure our borders, not conducting adequate counterterrorism and discouraging domestic energy development. And worst of all, the lifetime appointed Supreme Court has repeatedly failed to enforce the original intent of the Constitution.
The only solution to returning Government to its Constitutional limitations and restoring the rights relinquished by the States, communities and individuals, is the remedy of structural change provided by the Constitution itself! That one solution is the entire purpose of Article V! State Senators and Representatives do not have a more important priority than to draw up a Convention of States application to Congress. http://www.conventionofstates.com/solution State Legislatures are sworn to uphold the Constitution and are obligated to defend the rights of the people and win back the sovereign authority of the states.
The nationwide Convention of States movement is led by one of the co-founders of the Tea Party, the founder/leader of the extremely successful Homeschool Legal Defense Foundation and the pre-eminent legal expert on Article V. http://www.conventionofstates.com/national_leadership But this movement is also intentionally driven by dozens of volunteers in every state of the union who will be recruiting hundreds of citizens to compel their state representatives to draft a Convention of States application with subject matter identical to applications from at least 34 other states. I’ve been in contact with over fifty of the Colorado volunteers.
The JEFFERSON STATEMENT, drafted September 11, 2014 by former members of the Reagan Administration, seasoned Supreme Court litigators and Ivy League professors, captures the essence of Article V.
The Constitution’s Framers foresaw a day when the federal government would exceed and abuse its enumerated powers, thus placing our liberty at risk. George Mason was instrumental in fashioning a mechanism by which “we the people” could defend our freedom—the ultimate check on federal power contained in Article V of the Constitution.
Article V provides the states with the opportunity to propose constitutional amendments through a process called a Convention of States. This process is controlled by the states from beginning to end on all substantive matters.
A Convention of States is convened when 34 state legislatures pass resolutions (applications) on an agreed topic or set of topics. The Convention is limited to considering amendments on these specified topics.
While some have expressed fears that a Convention of States might be misused or improperly controlled by Congress, it is our considered judgment that the checks and balances in the Constitution are more than sufficient to ensure the integrity of the process.
The Convention of States mechanism is safe, and it is the only constitutionally effective means available to do what is so essential for our nation—restoring robust federalism with genuine checks on the power of the federal government.
We share the Founders’ conviction that proper decision-making structures are essential to preserve liberty. We believe that the problems facing our nation require several structural limitations on the exercise of federal power. While fiscal restraints are essential, we believe the most effective course is to pursue reasonable limitations, fully in line with the vision of our Founders, on the federal government.
Accordingly, we endorse the Convention of States Project, which calls for an Article V Convention for “the sole purpose of proposing amendments that impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress.” http://www.conventionofstates.com/the_jefferson_statement
Please join us today and invite everyone you know to share in this fantastic venture of liberty. The resources below will equip you to promote Convention of States.
“I want the people of America to be able to work less for the government and more for themselves. I want them to have the rewards of their own industry. That is the chief meaning of freedom.”
Those words are taken from Calvin Coolidge’s Inaugural Address of March 4, 1925. Even then, conservatives like Coolidge were battling progressives over taxes and spending. Today, with federal taxes approaching a 30-year high, those words are more relevant than ever.
The concept of limited government is the fundamental divide separating conservatives and liberals. Conservatives hold dear the Constitution’s enumerated powers clause and the protections of property guaranteed by the Constitution’s Fourth and Fifth Amendments. Liberals behave as if the Constitution did not exist.
The Invasion of Banu Qurayza, also known as the Massacre of Banu Qurayza, took place in the Dhul Qa‘dah during February and March of 627 AD (5 AH).
The Islamic prophet Muhammad besieged the Banu Qurayza for 25 days until they surrendered. One of Muhammad’s companions decided that “the men should be killed, the property divided, and the women and children taken as captives”. Muhammad approved of the ruling, calling it similar to God’s judgment, after which all male members of the tribe who had reached puberty were beheaded. According to Daniel C. Peterson and Martin Lings, this judgment was in accordance with the law of Moses as stated in Deuteronomy 20:10-14. The Muslim jurist Tabari quotes 600–900 being executed. The Sunni hadith do not give the number killed, but state that all males were killed and 1 woman. The rest of the women and children were sold in exchange for weapons and horses, according to Islamic sources.
According to Ibn Kathir, Quranic verses 33:26-27 and 33:9-10 are about the attack against the Banu Qurayza.

U. S. Term Limits Endorses the Convention of States Project
75% of Americans support term limits for politicians: Article V will empower those citizens
PURCELLVILLE, Va. and AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Today the U.S. Term Limits endorsed the Convention of States (COS) Project, joining with many like-minded organizations dedicated to reining in a bloated, corrupt federal government.
“Career politicians are a big part of the problem,” said Mark Meckler, president of Citizens for Self-Governance and co-founder of the COS Project. “Thankfully, U.S. Term Limits has been stalwart in their advocacy of limiting the power on Capitol Hill. More than seventy-five percent of U.S. citizens agree on term limits, but do you think that politicians will vote to limit themselves? Article V will allow citizens to send career politicians packing by passing a term limit amendment.”
Nick Tomboulides, Director, U.S. Term Limits, agrees that the COS Project will empower citizens.
“Established in 1992, U.S. Term Limits is the nationwide leader in the movement to enact term limits at all levels of government in the United States. After achieving state-imposed term limits on 23 states’ congressional delegations — encompassing nearly half of the U.S. Congress — USTL saw these efforts undone by an activist Supreme Court in the 1995 decision U.S. Term limits v. Thornton,” said Tomboulides. “Today, it advocates for a constitutional amendment limiting U.S. House members to no more than three terms and U.S. Senate members to no more than two. The Article V Convention process presents a golden opportunity to pass a term limits amendment. The Convention of States legislation identifies term limits as a core component of any convention, and we fully support COS’s effort to restore citizen government in America.”
The Convention of States Project currently has organized leadership in 43 states around the country, including thousands of volunteers committed to stopping the federal government’s abuse of power. Three Article V applications have already been passed in Alaska, Florida and Georgia. For more information visit http://www.ConventionofStates.com.
