We must spread the truth from east to west, north to south, what for millions of Muslims is a demonic, normal, widespread, hideous, judgmental, coded into the Koran, life-annihilating (innocent life) culture and worldview. “HE CULTURALLY BELIEVED HE HAD THE RIGHT TO HIT HIS WIFE AND DISCIPLINE HIS WIFE” How easily and frequently these kinds of people terrorize not only their own families but the entire world. May every moral person on earth condemn this hellish evil.

Man who fatally beat wife over dinner ‘expressionless’ in court

A Pakistani immigrant beat his wife to death in their Brooklyn home after she made the mistake of cooking him lentils for dinner instead of the hearty meal of goat meat that he craved, according to court papers.

Noor Hussain, 75, was so outraged over the vegetarian fare that he pummeled his wife, Nazar Hussain, 66, with a stick until she was a “bloody mess,” according to prosecutors and court papers.

“Defendant asked [his wife] to cook goat and [his wife] said she made something else,” the court papers indicated as Hussain’s murder trial opened on Wednesday.

“The conversation got louder and [his wife] disrespected defendant by cursing at defendant and saying motherf- -ker, and . . . defendant took a wooden stick and hit her with it on her arm and mouth.”

Defense attorney Julie Clark admitted Hussain beat his wife — but argued that he is guilty of only manslaughter because he didn’t intend to kill her. In Pakistan, Clark said, beating one’s wife is customary.

‘“HE COMES FROM A CULTURE WHERE HE THINKS THIS IS APPROPRIATE CONDUCT, WHERE HE CAN HIT HIS WIFE … HE CULTURALLY BELIEVED HE HAD THE RIGHT TO HIT HIS WIFE AND DISCIPLINE HIS WIFE.”’

– Defense Attorney Julie Clark

“He comes from a culture where he thinks this is appropriate conduct, where he can hit his wife,” Clark said in her opening statements at the Brooklyn Supreme Court bench trial. “He culturally believed he had the right to hit his wife and discipline his wife.”

Prosecutors, however, said Hussain meant for his wife to die.

“His intentions were to kill his wife,” Assistant District Attorney Sabeeha Madni said in court. “This was not a man who was trying to discipline his wife.”

Madni said that Hussain “brutally attacked his wife as she lay in her bed” — leaving deep lacerations on her head, arms and shoulders, and causing her brain to hemorrhage.

He beat her with a stick that the family had found in the street and used to stir their laundry in a washtub, the court papers state.

He then tried to clean up the blood that had splattered onto their bedroom wall before calling his son for help, Madni said.

“I killed her. Hurry up and come over,” Hussain told his son, according to prosecutors.

Madni also said Pakistani women who lived in the same building as the Hussains would testify about the beatings Nazar received at the hands of her husband.

“They have told us about years of abuse they witnessed,” Madni said.

Hussain met his wife in Pakistan and the couple married before moving to Brooklyn, prosecutors said.

The trial continues Thursday before Judge Matthew D’Emic.

Muslims Murder, Mutilate Christian Father In Front of His Son

copts-protest-web

We were at work when we heard Muslims were burning churches… Leaders in the mosques were telling Muslims to attack Christians and kill them.

Muhammad Rashid points out to me: “The people who do this are ordinary Muslims, not militant extremists, as our politically correct leaders and news media would have us believe. They would do this to me, an apostate (ex-Muslim), if they could find me. I know these people well; I was one of them.

“Watch out, USA. American Muslims are small in number now, but more keep coming to eventually take over. It is their declared intention (in Arabic).”

“Christian father killed in front of his son,” Maghreb Christians.com, 19 May 2014 (thanks to Muhammad Rashid)

Muslims in Egypt, in the village of Dalga, murdered a Christian man right in front of his son by riddling his body with bullets, then they dragged his body to the mosque. When they arrived at the mosque, they tied his body to a tractor and then mutilated the corpse as they screamed “Allahu Akbar!”

Hours later he was buried in the local cemetery, but on the next day, the Muslims took his body and dragged it through the streets and mutilated him. Most bizarrely they did this three times a day, in a very demonic and diabolical ritual. The victim was running a local barber shop, and the Muslims attacked him while he was working in the business, and they also burned the shop down. The victim’s son, Boutrous, recounted the entire story:

We were at work when we heard Muslims were burning churches… Leaders in the mosques were telling Muslims to attack Christians and kill them… They broke into the shop, took everything and burned the place down They caught my father and shot him multiple times. Then they dragged his body to the mosque… When they reached the mosque they tied his body to a tractor and dragged him through the village again… The next day some people dug up his body and dragged it through the village again. They did this three times that day… We have no money, no clothes, no job, our home is destroyed, and our business is destroyed

The life of the Christian in Egypt is one in which death can come at any time. Anba Macarius, head bishop of Minya’s Coptic Church, described how the Muslims have destroyed many churches, Christian organization and businesses, and how dangerously volatile the Christian life is:

Three hundred homes, 100 businesses, 15 churches and about 10 Christian organizations were destroyed in my province…Christians in Egypt are expecting death at any time… I thank the Lord I am still alive but I am like anybody else in Minya, we all face dangers. My life is not more precious than any other soul in Minya.

Cannes: Video of Hollywood Environmentalists in Anti-Fracking Sting Operation to Debut (Exclusive Video)

Fracking Screen Grab - H 2014

James O’Keefe says he duped Ed Begley Jr. and Mariel Hemingway into agreeing to get involved with an anti-fracking movie while hiding that its funding comes from Middle Eastern oil interests.

Journalist James O’Keefe, known for his controversial undercover sting operations aimed usually at liberals — is set to unveil at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday the first of a group of videos that he says will reveal hypocrisy among Hollywood environmentalists.

In the video, obtained exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter and embedded below, actors Ed Begley Jr. and Mariel Hemingway are duped by a man named “Muhammad,” who is looking to make an anti-fracking movie while hiding that its funding is coming from Middle Eastern oil interests.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOX5ehfFF7I]

Muhammad, accompanied by a man pretending to be an ad executive, seemingly has the two actors agreeing to participate in the scheme, even after he acknowledges that his goal is to keep America from becoming energy independent. The meeting, which appears to have been secretly recorded, took place a few months ago at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

PHOTOS: The Party Scene at Cannes 2014

But the real target of the sting operation appears to be Josh and Rebecca Tickell, a husband and wife team known for their environmental movies, such as 2008’s Fuel, which won an award at Sundance and was later screened at the White House for members of President Obama‘s administration.

Begley tells THR that if it looks like he’s agreeing with faux Muhammad about anything, it’s because the Tickells asked him to be polite so that they’d get their funding for a movie they’re making calledFracked, a film that will argue a technique for extracting natural gas called fracking is bad for the environment. Also, Begley says that he is hard of hearing and couldn’t understand everything Muhammad was saying.

The video also includes some audio from phone conversations between the fake Muhammad’s representatives and the Tickells. “We’re confident that we can keep this zip-locked. You know, tight. Tight. Air-tight forever,” Josh Tickell is heard saying. “If we don’t protect who is kind of funding this thing … if we have to disclose that or that becomes a necessary part of it, the whole enterprise will not work.”

Rebecca Tickell adds: “Because if people think the film is funded by Middle Eastern oil it will, it will not have that credibility,” and Josh Tickell says, “It’s money, so in that sense we have no moral issue.”

Tickell tells THR he hasn’t yet seen the video, but he says he and his Green Planet production company are “reserving the right to seek damages” against O’Keefe.

“It was a bit of an American Hustle, with bad acting and worse hair,” he recalls of the meeting with Muhammad and others.

“To be clear, we flat out deny any implication of impropriety,” he says. “Had an offer been made, significant due diligence would have been conducted … the sad part is, O’Keefe casts a bad light on Muslims at large as if they’re a bad group of people.”

He also objects to an email O’Keefe he said that O’Keefe sent to supporters saying he is “on the verge of breaking a story exposing environmentalist Nazis blocking our expanded use of our own energy resources.”

“To attempt to equate the extermination of European Jews with efforts to oppose fracking serves only to cheapen the impact of the term,” he says, “and for that he owes an apology, not to us, but to the survivors and their families.”

(Update: O’Keefe says the email never used the term “Nazi” and that Tickell is confusing the actual email with a headline from a blogger who wrote about O’Keefe’s email).

Rebecca Tickell, who hasn’t yet seen the video, says she was nine months pregnant at the time of the meeting with Muhammad. “When we make a film, it’s to spread awareness of the dangers of fracking, and when they asked us to not disclose where the money came from, you know, as far as we were concerned we shared the same goal, which was to end fracking in America,” she says. “This film is so important that I don’t want it to get lost in the shuffle of he said, she said.”

PHOTOS: 35 of 2014’s Most Anticipated Movies

Tracy Columbus, Hemingway’s personal manager, when informed about the video, calls O’Keefe “a coward” and a “frat boy” and says, “He’s got legal issues on this one.”

“Mariel didn’t give money or take money,” Columbus adds. “This is one bad lunch that’s embarrassing. There’s no nefarious aspect to this. She showed up to help a friend. She’s passionate about protecting the earth and would like to see a movie made about all sides of fracking. … Shame on people who are so weak and deceptive to set up two artists who have worked very hard to achieve credibility in their community. Hopefully, O’Keefe will be made responsible for these dirty tricks.”

Begley adds that he suggested to the Tickells after the meeting that they might have been “punked,” but he also says he didn’t do anything terribly unusual.

“Josh is a friend, and he said if I showed up at this lunch, he would get money from a backer. He wanted some Hollywood people involved, and I saw the other one was Mariel Hemingway. I basically sat there and didn’t say much. Josh said to just nod and agree, so I guess I did that,” Begley says.

PHOTOS: The Scene at Cannes 2014

He adds: “If promises made at the Polo Lounge were binding, I’d have a very different acting career now. I’ll go a step further. I don’t think it’s bad Josh Tickell is taking money from some Arab guy. It’s much better than giving money to Middle East oil, which I’ve spent my whole life against. Think about it. My electric car. My bicycle. How much foreign oil is there in that? Unlike these James O’Keefe characters who ride around in gas guzzlers, I’ve given no money to foreign oil.”

O’Keefe first earned national attention with a series of videos where he is seen posing as a pimp for underage prostitutes at offices of ACORN, a non-profit group focusing on voter registration, affordable housing and other issues. After O’Keefe released several videos where workers agree to help the fake pimp use the tax code to hide money, lawmakers took federal funding from the 40-year-old group and it disbanded in 2010.

The political left usually accuses O’Keefe and his Project Veritas organization of selectively editing their work to distort the truth, so he has taken to releasing unedited, raw footage, as is the case herewith the sting that targeted the two actors and the Tickells.

O’Keefe is also known for video of a meeting between NPR senior vp fundraising Ronald Schiller and someone who pretended to be a representative from a pro-Sharia Muslim group. During the meeting, Schiller says the conservative Tea Party movement is “really xenophobic” and “very fundamental Christian … I wouldn’t even call it Christian. It’s this weird evangelical kind of move.” After the videos, Schiller was placed on administrative leave and the next day CEO Vivian Schiller (no relation) resigned.

The political left accused O’Keefe of doctoring the NPR tape and also has made the claim on numerous occasions that his work cannot be trusted, in part because of a sting against Sen. Mary Landrieu that went awry and resulted in his arrest. He pleaded guilty to entering a federal building under false pretenses and served three years probation and 100 hours of community service. O’Keefe’s detractors also point to a failed plot to punk CNN, which was planning a piece on him. Correspondent Abbie Boudreau was supposed to meet O’Keefe on a boat, but while she was expecting a serious interview with a rising young star in the conservative movement, his plan was to try and seduce her in an “over-the-top” way and capture her reaction on hidden cameras.

Contacted by phone in Cannes, O’Keefe says he got the idea for his environmental sting when he saw the credits on Promised Land, a 2012 film starring Matt Damon and John Krasinski that has an anti-fracking message and was co-funded by Image Nation Abu Dhabi.

“We’ve suspected one of Hollywood’s motives was to destroy American energy independence,” O’Keefe tells THR. “We wanted to see how these movies get made. We wanted to know who else was funding them and how Hollywood might be covering up the source of these funds. What are they not telling us? Apparently, a lot.”

He says he planned to debut his 20-minute video, though it will also go live soon at YouTube, at Cannes because “this is where Hollywood is right now. We wanted to send a message to these people that, if this is their behavior, we’re gonna bring it right to their backyard.” He says he ran into Harvey Weinsteinin his hotel elevator and invited him to the screening. “I doubt he will come,” adds O’Keefe.

O’Keefe did not provide further details about his latest effort, except that he set his sights on Hollywood environmentalists about year ago and that more videos are coming. At the end of the video featuring the Tickells, Hemingway and Begley, a tease of what’s to come next includes the image of a woman — presumably a celebrity — though with her face blurred. Another tease is of a phone conversation with Josh Fox, the Oscar-nominated director of Gasland, a documentary that makes the case that the environment is harmed by fracking.

Update: Late Tuesday, the Tickells created a video response that also serves as a pitch to raise $72,000 via an IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign to make Fracked. “I’m about to tell you a story of the lengths that some people will go to discourage the transition to green energy,” Josh Tickell says in the video. “If it wasn’t so serious it might even be kind of funny. Recently, my wife and I were royally punked.”

Fellow rancher’s viral letter explains so much about why ranchers support ‘hero’ Bundy

http://bundyranch.blogspot.com/2014/05/fellow-ranchers-viral-letter-explains.html

In an open letter, Bundy’s neighbor, Kena Lytle Gloeckner, explained why ranchers are supporting Bundy. Her letter, which has been posted on numerous blogs, said:

There have been a lot of people criticizing Clive Bundy because he did not pay his grazing fees for 20 years. The public is also probably wondering why so many other cowboys are supporting Mr. Bundy even though they paid their fees and Clive did not. What you people probably do not realize is that on every rancher’s grazing permit it says the following: “You are authorized to make grazing use of the lands, under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management and covered by this grazing permit, upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this grazing permit and payment of grazing fees when due.” The “mandatory” terms and conditions go on to list the allotment, the number and kind of livestock to be grazed, when the permit begins and ends, the number of active or suspended AUMs (animal units per month), etc. The terms and conditions also list specific requirements such as where salt or mineral supplements can be located, maximum allowable use of forage levels (40% of annual growth), etc., and include a lot more stringent policies that must be adhered to. Every rancher must sign this “contract” agreeing to abide by the TERMS AND CONDITIONS before he or she can make payment.

In the early 90s, the BLM went on a frenzy and drastically cut almost every rancher’s permit because of this desert tortoise issue, even though all of us ranchers knew that cow and desert tortoise had co-existed for a hundred+ years. As an example, a family friend had his permit cut by 90%. For those of you who are non-ranchers, that would be equated to getting your paycheck cut 90%. In 1976 there were approximately 52 ranching permittees in this area of Nevada. Presently, there are 3. Most of these people lost their livelihoods because of the actions of the BLM. Clive Bundy was one of these people who received extremely unfair and unreasonable TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Keep in mind that Mr. Bundy was required to sign this contract before he was allowed to pay. Had Clive signed on the dotted line, he would have, in essence, signed his very livelihood away. And so Mr. Bundy took a stand, not only for himself, but for all of us. He refused to be destroyed by a tyrannical federal entity and to have his American liberties and freedoms taken away. Also keep in mind that all ranchers financially paid dearly for the forage rights those permits allow – – not rights to the land, but rights to use the forage that grows on that land. Many of these AUMS are water based, meaning that the rancher also has a vested right (state owned, not federal) to the waters that adjoin the lands and allow the livestock to drink. These water rights were also purchased at a great price.

If a rancher cannot show beneficial use of the water (he must have the appropriate number of livestock that drinks and uses that water), then he loses that water right. Usually water rights and forage rights go hand in hand. Contrary to what the BLM is telling you, they NEVER compensate a rancher for the AUMs they take away. Most times, they tell ranchers that their AUMS are “suspended,” but not removed. Unfortunately, my family has thousands of “suspended” AUMs that will probably never be returned. And so, even though these ranchers throughout the course of a hundred years invested thousands(and perhaps millions) of dollars and sacrificed along the way to obtain these rights through purchase from others, at a whim the government can take everything away with the stroke of a pen. This is the very thing that Clive Bundy singlehandedly took a stand against. Thank you, Clive, from a rancher who considers you a hero.

PROJECT VERITAS IS ON THE VERGE OF BREAKING A STORY EXPOSING ENVIRONMENTALIST NAZIS-s BLOCKING EXPANDED USE OF OUR OWN ENERGY RESCOURES

Dear John

We’re about to break one of the most important stories in the history of Project Veritas.

We have undercover footage of well-known public figures engaged in the type of shady deal-making that we’re dedicated to exposing.

Have you ever wondered why your home utility bills are so high?  Or why it costs so much to fill up your gas tank?  America sits on a vast trove of clean energy, and yet there are those who fight against American Energy Independence at every turn.

Who are they?

There’s a saying: “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.”  Well, if your enemy is American Energy Independence, you’ll attract some pretty unsavory characters as your friends.

And we have it all on video.

(We can’t reveal too much, but what if we revealed the darker side of how a lot of the feel-good environmentalist propaganda gets funded by international interests who jeopardize national security?  Does that sound groundbreaking enough?  We’d say more, but we can’t put our investigators in danger.)

We’re struggling to break this report, but we need help.

We still have undercover reporters in the field.  We need resources to support their investigations.

We need to be prepared to fight the “lawfare” attacks that they’ll use to try to shut us down.

We need to be able to put significant public relations muscle behind the story rollout.  We know how much the mainstream media likes to downplay what we do.  We can’t let them bury this story.

This story needs to see the light of day.  It’s just that devastating to the phony squeaky-clean images of some of the Left’s biggest propagandists.

Please consider making a contribution today of $10, $25, or even $50 to the Project Veritas California Fund today.

We can only make that happen with your help.

Join the fight,

Pistol Packin’ Grannie Shot Four Times, Then Detroit Thugs Find Out ‘Rambo’ is Carrying a .45

http://www.ijreview.com/2014/05/136659-pistol-packin-grannie-gets-shot-three-times-lets-detroit-thugs-know-shes-packin-worst-way/

Very moving video.

Paris Ainsworth lived up to her nickname “Rambo.” After two attackers shot her four times, she whipped out her .45 caliber handgun and fired off eight rounds at the fleeing punks. Detroit 4 reported:

“If I wouldn’t have had my gun I would be dead today.”

A mugger hit Ainsworth with a gun ten years prior and had left a scare. The 51-year old grandmother of four decided to get a concealed carry permit two years ago, and the decision might have saved her life.

Supreme Court Upheld Freedom to Pray!

Public meetings CAN open in prayer!

Yesterday, the U.S. Supreme Court reaffirmed this American tradition that has continued for hundreds of years and takes place daily at every level of government does not violate the Constitution.

Thanks to your support, Alliance Defending Freedom defended the small town of Greece’s practice of permitting volunteer citizens to deliver an invocation to open town meetings after two onlookers filed suit complaining about the Christian prayers.

The prayers of many, many Americans have been answered with today’s victory.

Armed with the clarification provided by the Supreme Court, we are starting our own campaign to let elected officials know that “We the People Pray.”  The public officials in your state should know that citizens like you support prayer.

Together, we WILL bring back public prayer! Thank you again for standing with us.

Colorado Is The Most Magical State In America. Colorado boasts four national parks, 42 state parks, 11 national forests, two national grasslands and eight national wildlife refuges. There’s always another trail to hike or mountain to climb… could you ever be bored?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05/05/colorado-most-magical-state_n_5205600.html?view=print&comm_ref=false

There’s a reason “Rocky Mountain High” is one of Colorado’s official state songs. Because regardless of your feelings on legalized pot, Colorado will leave you feeling absolutely magical.

If you’re an urbanite, a mountaineer, a ski bum, a history nerd, an outdoor adventurer… you get the point… there is something for you in Colorado. And if you’re not dazzled by the epic natural wonders Colorado has to offer, you might not have a soul.

Not convinced? Maybe these 19 reasons will prove that Colorado is the most magical state in America.

1. Because with “300 days of sunshine,” Colorado is one of the sunniest places in America.
colorado sunshine
And who doesn’t love a sunny day? The “300 days of sunshine” thing is actually amyth. According to the Colorado Climate Center, there’s no technical definition of “days of sunshine,” so measuring it gets tricky. They go on, however, to state that Colorado only has 30-40 overcast days per year, leaving at least 300 days of partial sunshine. They estimate only about 115 days that would fit the classic definition of clear… but 300 days of partial sunshine, at the least, still sounds awesome.

2. Being at a high altitude just makes things more fun.
colorado elevation sign
Colorado has the highest average elevation in the country. The lowest point in Colorado, located at the Arikaree River, is 3,315 feet above sea level. The highest is Mt. Elbert, located at 14,433 feet above sea level. Denver, the state’s capital, legitimately earns its nickname of “Mile High City” standing at an elevation of 5,280 feet high. At these elevations, the sun is stronger. You also could potentially get drunk faster.

3. Colorado is a beer-lover’s happy place.
river north
Colorado consistently ranks among the best craft brew states in America. The state has more than 200 breweries, including 130 microbreweries, according to USA Today‘s 2013 count. Denver itself has more than 20 breweries

4. Because, the Rockies.
rocky mountains colorado
Whether you’re into skiing, hiking, climbing, driving or just looking at pretty scenery, the Rocky Mountains are easily one of America’s greatest natural wonders. Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the most visited national parks, for good reason. Breathtaking views are guaranteed, whether the mountains are blanketed in snow or lush green trees.

5. You can rock out surrounded by rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
red rocks amphitheater
It’s been called one of the best amphitheaters in America. If you can’t get concert tickets, visiting by day and hiking a trail or having a picnic is a great way to experience Red Rocks.

6. Or spend some heavenly time at Garden of the Gods
garden of the gods
As far as U.S. natural wonders go, this is a must see. The National Natural Landmarkoffers beautiful rock formations and other archeological wonders.

7. Or visit the Flatirons, which are some of the coolest looking foothills you’ll ever see.
flatirons
The Flatirons are located in Boulder and have a rich climbing history. They’re cool to view from afar and the climbs themselves offer terrific views and some challenging routes.

8. Winding mountain roads are basically nature’s roller coaster.
colorado mountain road
Well, nature provided the mountain. Man built the road. But still, driving up and then down a mountain is an experience every thrill-seeker should experience, and the Rockies are perfect for it. Try Loveland Pass for steep climbs, hairpin turns and views that will make both your stomach and jaw drop.

9. Travel back in time and visit gold rush and mining towns.
argo mine
These cool little old-school mining towns look like they’re out of a movie (or Snow White, maybe?). Most people associate the gold rush with California, but let’s not forget Pike’s Peak and Colorado’s role in the fun. Follow the Colorado Gold Trail and pass through gold and silver mine towns like Idaho Springs, Breckenridge and Black Hawk. Mine tours are also available in many towns as well.

10. Denver’s homegrown burger chain, Smashburger, is beyond delicious.
smashburger
While it’s up for debate where the original smashburger came from, Smashburger as we know it today is Denver born and bred. Denver is also home to the first ever Chipotle… which is pretty cool, though you can eat Chipotle pretty much anywhere these days.

11. Or, if you’re feeling really adventurous, you could always try Rocky Mountain Oysters.

Warning: Rocky Mountain Oysters are not actually oysters. They are bull testicles and they are a delicacy…we kid you not.

11. Coors Field is not just a place to watch baseball.
coors field
The home of the Colorado Rockies is consistently ranked as one of the top ballparks in the country. And the ballpark’s not just for fans — the over-the-top stadium offers plenty to eat and drink, and sweeping views of Denver and the mountains beyond.Tickets start as low as $4, so it’s a great deal.

12. Colorado’s welcome signs are cooler than yours.
welcome to colorado

13. Denver is mecca for all things delicious, fun and cheap
little man ice cream denver
Beer is cheap, ice cream is in abundance and the cost of living won’t leave you totally broke. Denver is also near plenty of outdoor adventure, so urbanites can escape from the city whenever their hearts desire.

14. And Boulder is a haven for crunchy types with no shortage of activity, and awesome proximity to nature, of course.
boulder colorado

15. Because you can walk into a recreational marijuana dispensary and buy marijuana, legally

Both in-state residents and visitors (over 21-years-old) can shop at the dispensaries, though Coloradans can purchase more product than tourists. And these shops don’t just sell weed… they sell marijuana-infused edibles, oils, beverages and more. If you fancy yourself a consumer of marijuana, you will be in heaven. Keep in mind, you can only smoke in private, buy from licensed dispensaries and cannot bring marijuana products out of the state.

16. Colorado is home to the North American Aerospace Defense Command… And you know what they do, right?
norad santa
They track Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, duh.

17. Want some thrills? How about white water raftingZip liningIce climbingHang gliding

The state is an adrenaline junkie’s paradise.

18. Because Colorado sets records… Zombie Crawl records, that is.

19. And, if you haven’t figured it out yet, Colorado is paradise for the outdoorsy type.

You can’t beat these numbers — Colorado boasts four national parks, 42 state parks, 11 national forests, two national grasslands and eight national wildlife refuges. There’s always another trail to hike or mountain to climb… could you ever be bored?

ARE AFFAIRS AND OTHER MISCONDUCT TO BLAME FOR OBAMACARE?

It’s not easy for politicians to be honest, especially when they’re hiding something.

Apparently, there’s a lot to cover up — from Bill Clinton’s cigar to Mark Sanford’s “Appalachian Trail” to Larry Craig’s “wide stance” to Barney Frank’s male prostitute to Eliot Spitzer’s prostitution ring to John Edwards’s videographer, to Anthony Weiner’s… um… inadvertent Tweet.

Could moral failings like these be responsible, at least in part, for the lack of a legal challenge from the legislative branch?

Ben Carson thinks so.  Here’s his reasoning.  If the so-called Affordable Care Act were a civilian contract, someone would be sued.  That’s what happens if one party is found to have knowingly made false promises to close the deal.  By the same terms, Obamacare qualifies as a “massive case of fraud… a bill that never would have been passed if it had been revealed that millions of people would lose the health insurance with which they were satisfied and that they might not be able to keep their doctors” as promised.

Why, then, hasn’t the legislative branch legally challenged it?  Could it be that some lack the courage to speak out freely because they’re afraid of political repercussions or revelation of a past mistake?  Carlson believes blackmail might be playing into this:

“Chicago-style politics” … is nothing more than a euphemism for political corruption, including bullying, blackmail, and bribery.  …In an age when Big Brother is capable of watching everything we do, it is not hard to imagine a scenario in which large numbers of public servants are silenced or subdued by secretive threats.

In other words, it’s conceivable that some politicians might have done things that they’re afraid of seeing the light of day. After all, the list of politicians who have been publically shamed because of their private behavior is long indeed.

Michigan Takes Away the “Right to Farm” from Folks in the Suburbs

http://www.dcclothesline.com/2014/05/05/michigan-takes-away-right-farm-folks-suburbs/

The “right to farm” in that state no longer exists for those who live on any property where there are 13 homes within one eighth mile or a residence within 250 feet of the property. This means that the folks who have a couple of goats, chickens, beehives, orrabbits living harmoniously in their suburban backyards are at the mercy of their local governments and their neighbors. The “right to farm” laws that are on the books originally came about when city dwellers moved to the country and complained about their rural surroundings – things like smells and animal noises. However, the law has protected many people since then who just want some freedom from the system, whether they have a couple of acres or a suburban backyard.
